Residential Support Advocate

Group HomeCape Fear Group Homes, Inc. is currently seeking Residential Support Advocates (RSA) for program participants living in the group homes. Under the supervision of the Group Home Manager, the RSA works closely with the participants to implement planned daily activities including, but not limited to, assisting and transporting individuals to appointments, community outings, etc. The RSA must possess strong communication skills to ensure the health and safety for each individual served. The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age with a valid North Carolina driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer at least one year of experience providing services to special populations. Part-time and full-time shifts available. Cape Fear operates on a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift schedule. Employment Specialist

FennerCape Fear Vocational Services is currently seeking employment specialists in multiple locations. Under the supervision of the Vocational Services Director or Assistant Director, employment specialists provide direct support and coaching to enable individual clients to achieve their employment goals. This position requires strong communication skills in order to interact effectively with community employers and advocate for program participants. The successful candidate will have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, although a 4-year degree in human services, vocational development, or other related field is preferred. One year of experience in the human services field is required, but one to two years providing employment services is preferred. The employment specialist must pass health care registry, driving, and criminal background checks before commencing employment with CFVS. The employment specialist must possess and retain a valid North Carolina driver’s license, provide proof of automobile insurance, and ensure vehicle is kept clean and in good operational order.
